Responsibilities
- Develop the Direct Load TMS frontend and backend, from Angular UI components through the underlying services.
- Build event-driven backend services using Java or Kotlin, Kafka, Event Sourcing, and CQRS.
- Shape full-stack architecture and constructively challenge existing approaches.
- Collaborate with UX designers and logistics subject-matter experts to deliver effective solutions and user experiences.
- Drive system internationalization and support international rollouts.
- Share responsibility for operating services, including observability, troubleshooting, and performance.
- Improve code quality through reviews, pair programming, and meaningful engineering standards.
- Mentor and motivate the software engineering team and help guide its development and priorities.
- Participate across the full software lifecycle, from discovery through maintenance.
Requirements
- Several years of solid full-stack development experience across Angular and TypeScript frontend development and Java or Kotlin backend development.
- Experience with event-driven architectures, Kafka, Event Sourcing, and CQRS, or demonstrable ability to learn them quickly.
- Strong UX awareness and ability to collaborate effectively with designers.
- Initiative, ownership, problem-solving ability, and strong communication skills.
- Interest in the logistics domain and ability to understand complex business relationships.
- Fluent German language skills.
- Preferred: experience with Angular Material or other component libraries.
- Preferred: understanding of reactive programming with RxJS.
- Preferred: knowledge of cloud-native development with AWS and Kubernetes.
- Preferred: experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing strategies.
- Preferred: experience with international rollouts or multi-tenant architectures.
