Responsibilities
- Own software solutions across core mesh platforms, data interfaces, and release management for customer-deployed mission capabilities.
- Design, build, test, and deliver scalable, reliable, portable, maintainable software using modern engineering practices.
- Partner with end-users to translate operational needs into features while balancing user experience and engineering constraints.
- Collaborate across teams on complex cross-functional functionality.
- Monitor system health, triage production issues, identify root causes, and coordinate resolutions.
- Travel 10%–30% to meet customers, understand operating conditions, and build, test, and deploy capabilities in the field.
Requirements
- Maintain an active U.S. Secret Clearance.
- Have a strong engineering background from industry or school, ideally in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Networking, Mathematics, or Physics.
- Have at least 3–10+ years of experience working with programming languages such as Go, Python, Java, C++, or Rust.
- Have experience building software involving significant data processing and analysis.
- Be able to quickly understand complex systems and established codebases.
- Preferred: experience designing distributed systems and delivering software in startup or high-growth environments.
- Preferred: deep networking experience, especially in distributed systems operating under non-standard networking conditions.
- Preferred: familiarity with AWS, Azure, software infrastructure fundamentals, monitoring, logging, data management, and software development lifecycle tools.
