Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable machine learning models and AI applications that address complex business problems.
- Design and develop agentic AI search and chat applications and AI paved paths for the engineering organization.
- Evaluate application and model performance through experimentation, analysis, and interpretation of results.
- Fine-tune and deploy LLMs and foundation models and implement RAG, guardrails, prompt engineering, and LLM security practices.
- Write production-quality Python code for feature engineering, model evaluation, and interface services.
- Build high-performance data ingestion pipelines and support data preparation, cleaning, transformation, and feature engineering.
- Build Spring AI MCPs, tools, and plugins and work with AWS data and data science capabilities.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, domain, and business stakeholders and mentor engineers on ML best practices without direct people management.
Requirements
- 8–10 years of overall experience in data engineering, ingestion, AI/ML, or GenAI-related projects.
- At least 5 years of experience working on AI, GenAI, or ML projects.
- Master’s degree preferred in computer science, data science, mathematics, actuarial science, engineering, or a related field.
- Experience programming in Python or Spark, including ScalaSpark or PySpark, and familiarity with TensorFlow, Keras, and PyTorch.
- Familiarity with Java, Spring AI, and Spring Boot services.
- Knowledge of deep learning architectures and techniques, including convolutional neural networks, recurrent neural networks, and reinforcement learning.
- Experience with AWS data and data science tools such as SageMaker, Glue, and Lambda.
- Experience with data engineering, ingestion techniques, Agile and DevOps development processes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to nontechnical audiences.
