Responsibilities
- Build AI tooling and agents that monitor, forecast, and automatically resolve AWS cost issues, including AI and GPU inference spend.
- Integrate cost guardrails into SDLC and CI/CD pipelines to detect cost overruns at commit, build, and deployment time.
- Develop anomaly detection, root-cause attribution, budget enforcement, right-sizing, and policy-check automation.
- Instrument AWS workloads, model token and inference economics, and create reusable cost tooling and organizational best practices.
- Extend cost attribution and reporting so cloud spend maps to teams and business outcomes, including executive dashboards.
- Embed cost tooling in the codebases and pipelines of engineering organizations across Infor.
- Collaborate with FinOps and platform teams on Service Control Policies, budget gateways, account guardrails, and centralized controls.
- Act as technical project lead by shaping the roadmap, sequencing work, driving cross-team execution, and aligning stakeholders and executives.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience building and operating production systems and internal tooling or platforms.
- Expert proficiency in at least one modern tooling and automation language, such as Python, Java, or Go.
- Deep hands-on AWS experience with Cost Explorer, Cost and Usage Report, Budgets, IAM, Lambda, and tagging strategies.
- Experience building automation and data pipelines and integrating tooling into CI/CD and the SDLC.
- Practical experience integrating or building with LLMs or AI agents, including understanding token and inference cost drivers.
- Strong technical project management skills for scoping, sequencing, and completing cross-team work.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred: enterprise software architecture experience and hands-on AI or GPU inference cost optimization.
- Preferred: experience with model-tier selection, prompt and caching strategies, budget enforcement, agentic frameworks, multi-agent pipelines, AWS Bedrock, Service Control Policies, Terraform or CloudFormation, ECS, EKS, Kubernetes, and large multi-account AWS environments.
