Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for embedded software systems.
- Implement unit, integration, system, regression, performance, and stress testing strategies.
- Develop and execute automated tests for real-time operating systems and embedded applications.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing and delivery.
- Create and maintain hardware-in-the-loop and software-in-the-loop test infrastructure.
- Collaborate with firmware engineers to define testability requirements and improve code coverage.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and coordinate timely resolution with development teams.
- Maintain test documentation, metrics, and reporting dashboards.
- Integrate security testing into automated quality workflows supporting DevSecOps practices.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship and an active Secret security clearance with willingness to obtain a Top Secret clearance are required.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is required.
- At least 3 years of experience in embedded software testing or quality assurance is required.
- Strong programming skills in C/C++ and Python for test automation are required.
- Experience developing automated test frameworks and test harnesses for embedded systems is required.
- Knowledge of black-box, white-box, and gray-box testing methodologies is required.
- Familiarity with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar continuous integration tools is required.
- Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows is required.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with VxWorks, FreeRTOS, QEMU, SIMICS, Google Test, CppUTest, Unity, CMake, Coverity, SonarQube, Valgrind, Bash, PowerShell, safety-critical standards, and defense or aerospace systems.
- Preferred qualifications include knowledge of DO-178C, ISO 26262, Agile/Scrum, and test-driven development.
