Responsibilities
- Design, develop, review, maintain, and troubleshoot advanced software applications.
- Design software architecture and provide technical guidance to the Backend Development Team.
- Implement web application security best practices and ensure compliance with software development standards and security protocols.
- Explore and implement AI integration across requirements gathering, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate user needs into technical solutions.
- Write and maintain technical documentation, user manuals, design documents, and release notes.
- Mentor junior software engineers and provide technical leadership and guidance.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and activities that ensure software quality and performance.
- Plan and complete technical debt initiatives across related products.
- Research emerging technologies and drive organizational innovation and strategic initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of software development experience using one or more languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Strong experience designing, developing, and consuming secure, scalable, and documented RESTful APIs.
- Expertise with Spring Framework and Spring Boot for enterprise-grade, microservices-based, and cloud-ready applications.
- Hands-on experience with AI integration across the software development lifecycle.
- Experience with AWS, Kibana, Elasticsearch, Lambda, S3, and EC2.
- Experience with web frameworks and libraries such as React, Angular, Vue.js, or Marionette.
- Strong understanding of database design and development with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
- Experience with development tools such as JIRA and GitHub.
- Knowledge of software development methodologies, design patterns, system architecture, and industry best practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, debugging, communication, collaboration, and technical leadership skills.
- Ability to mentor junior engineers, work across multiple technology stacks, and learn new technologies, APIs, frameworks, and tools.
- AI/ML knowledge is highly desirable.
