Base Salary
$306k - $382k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop core features of the Roku OS application framework.
- Architect and implement scalable services supporting Roku applications.
- Program using C++ and embedded Linux.
- Analyze user needs and design, develop, maintain, and upgrade software.
- Investigate, diagnose, and resolve issues within the Roku platform.
- Write and maintain functional and integration tests.
- Collaborate with Product Development, UI Design, Platform Services, and Release Management teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, plus five years of progressive experience in the position or a related occupation.
- Alternatively, a master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field plus three years of experience.
- At least one year of experience with C++ and embedded Linux.
- At least one year of experience with Linux tools, frameworks, and libraries.
- At least one year of experience with API design considerations and tradeoffs.
- At least one year of experience with scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript and derivatives.
- At least one year of experience writing functional and integration tests.
- At least one year of experience with object-oriented software design.

- Annual salary of $306,000–$382,000 for California-based employees.
