Responsibilities
- Design, develop, code, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, stable, and scalable software components.
- Write high-quality code and apply software engineering tools and automation across the software development lifecycle.
- Use authorized AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation while validating outputs through review, testing, and secure coding practices.
- Analyze large and diverse data sets to identify problems and support decision-making.
- Consider upstream and downstream systems and technical implications when developing solutions.
- Apply technical troubleshooting to solve problems of basic complexity.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 2+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience in automation and performance testing.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming languages and database-querying languages.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to critically evaluate their outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Experience across the full software development lifecycle.
- Exposure to agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
- Preferred: backend development experience in enterprise applications.
- Preferred: strong SDLC delivery experience in Agile environments.
- Preferred: experience developing microservices deployed through AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service, Elastic Container Service, and EC2.
- Preferred: experience writing Terraform scripts and deploying in AWS production environments.
- Preferred: experience with a relational database management system, preferably Oracle or PostgreSQL.
