Responsibilities
- Design and develop new features and improve existing features for CAST AIP web portals and dashboard software.
- Build scalable front-end and full-stack applications using JavaScript frameworks and backend technologies.
- Design software systems and select appropriate algorithms, theories, and technologies for business applications.
- Write unit tests, participate in code reviews, and contribute to software quality practices.
- Participate in best-practice definition, technology monitoring, and development design discussions.
- Troubleshoot application and environment issues and collaborate with distributed teammates.
- Contribute to cross-functional agile project teams and potentially take technical leadership of topics or projects.
Requirements
- Experience developing front-end or full-stack applications at scale.
- Experience with a front-end framework such as ReactJS, BackboneJS, AngularJS, or Vue.js, plus HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap.
- Experience with backend technologies such as REST web services and Java, including object-oriented programming, collections, and database access.
- Hands-on knowledge of JavaScript concepts, including object-oriented JavaScript, closures, unit testing, and module patterns.
- Experience with JavaScript testing frameworks such as Karma, Mocha, or Jest.
- Experience with server-side technologies and SQL or NoSQL databases is preferred.
- Experience with advanced CSS using LESS or SASS is preferred.
- Bachelor’s or master’s technical degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong software engineering, problem-solving, analytical, communication, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, learn quickly, and contribute to agile teams; knowledge of Scrum, Git, continuous integration, and test-driven development is beneficial.
