Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, develop, implement, and provide post-production support for Android mobile applications.
- Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into high-quality, scalable code.
- Build and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable Android applications.
- Optimize application performance, troubleshoot issues, and fix defects.
- Maintain code quality, documentation, and test automation.
- Support deployment, release, and post-release activities in production environments.
- Collaborate with backend, QA, and business teams in an agile delivery model.
Requirements
- Diploma, Polytechnic, or bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field; relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
- 3–5 years of relevant Android development experience.
- Proficiency in Android development using Kotlin and/or Java, including Android SDK, application lifecycle, and multiple Android versions.
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs, working with offline storage, threading, performance tuning, SQL, and databases.
- Proficiency with Git or SVN version control.
- Strong understanding of Android UI/UX standards and Material Design.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and collaborating effectively with teams.
- Eligibility for a CAT 1 government security clearance and Singapore citizenship are required.
- Preferred experience includes React Native, TypeScript, Angular, biometric authentication, push notifications, cloud messaging APIs, and automated build and release processes.
