Responsibilities
- Serve as the day-to-day technical point of contact for partner engineering and product teams.
- Advise partners on integration and implementation approaches and explain technical trade-offs to technical and business stakeholders.
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and data pipelines for partner use cases.
- Own partner integrations from early design through production, including architecture, data modeling, service boundaries, and infrastructure decisions.
- Build and integrate LLM- and agent-powered backend capabilities where they provide product value.
- Build reliable and scalable services integrating with third-party financial systems, including workflow orchestration, monitoring, and evaluations.
- Write clean, tested, and observable code while using AI coding agents to accelerate delivery.
- Participate in on-call and incident response and document integration decisions and learnings.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of backend software development experience with strong proficiency in Python or a similar language.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, RESTful and/or gRPC APIs, microservices, and SQL and NoSQL database systems.
- Strong experience with integrations, APIs, data modeling, authentication, and moving data between systems and organizations.
- Experience designing for reliability, performance, and security in production environments.
- Fluency with AI coding tools and a record of materially improving output and code quality with them.
- Experience building with LLMs or agent frameworks, including tool use, function calling, MCP, or evaluations, or strong aptitude to ramp up quickly.
- Preferred experience serving as the technical person in front of customers or partners.
- Trading platform, brokerage system, or financial infrastructure experience is preferred but not required.
- Comfort working with ambiguity, incomplete specifications, partner constraints, and occasional travel or partner-site assignments.
