Responsibilities
- Partner with business units to understand workflows, facilitate discovery, prioritize use cases, and define solution designs and success criteria.
- Rapidly prototype, validate, iterate, and deliver maintainable solutions through production deployment.
- Design and implement AI workflows and agents using LangGraph, LangChain, n8n, or equivalent technologies.
- Build backend services, APIs, integrations, authentication, workflow logic, and lightweight user interfaces.
- Design data ingestion, transformation, retrieval, and knowledge-integration pipelines across enterprise systems, databases, documents, APIs, and search or vector services.
- Develop secure and scalable backend services and relational data models using technologies such as Python, FastAPI, and PostgreSQL.
- Define evaluation datasets and acceptance criteria, test quality and reliability, and implement tracing, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
- Apply secure engineering, least-privilege access, data protection, prompt-injection defenses, output controls, auditability, and human oversight.
- Own production readiness, testing, rollout, documentation, user enablement, support, knowledge transfer, adoption tracking, and business-outcome measurement.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience, including ownership of production applications from ambiguous requirements through deployment and support.
- Strong proficiency in Python or another modern backend language, including API design, asynchronous processing, integration patterns, testing, debugging, and system architecture.
- Strong relational database experience, preferably PostgreSQL, including data modeling and query optimization, plus practical knowledge of data pipelines, search, and vector retrieval.
- Hands-on experience building LLM-enabled applications, RAG solutions, tool-calling agents, or automated workflows with frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, LlamaIndex, n8n, or equivalent.
- Practical experience deploying and operating cloud-native applications, with familiarity with AWS, Bedrock, and OpenSearch preferred; equivalent Azure or GCP experience is acceptable.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills for working with nontechnical users, explaining trade-offs, managing expectations, and driving adoption.
- Ability to work in ambiguous environments, learn unfamiliar business domains, and balance user value, speed, security, reliability, and maintainability.
- Experience in consulting delivery, solutions engineering, internal product delivery, or other direct-user, end-to-end implementation work is a bonus.
- Experience with n8n or Flowise, custom nodes, integrations, credential handling, operational support, LLM evaluation, tracing, observability, red-teaming, quality assurance, or regulated environments is a bonus.
