Responsibilities
- Lead technical strategy and execution across complex customer engagements and multi-workstream AI programs.
- Design and build production-scale AI architectures, including multi-agent orchestration, enterprise retrieval systems, and decision intelligence platforms.
- Define testing strategies, evaluation frameworks, observability standards, production-readiness criteria, and incident response playbooks.
- Create reusable engineering patterns, accelerators, and platforms that improve the effectiveness of the FDE practice.
- Mentor junior FDEs, coach engineers on system design and customer engagement, contribute to hiring, and drive engineering excellence.
- Identify opportunities to expand customer AI adoption and communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Travel 30–50% as required for customer engagements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience mentoring, serving as a tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
- Experience communicating technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences, including senior stakeholders.
- Experience leading agentic and spec-driven development at production scale; AI agent development experience is a plus.
- Experience with AI tools, including evaluation frameworks, agent tooling, RAG pipelines, and prompt engineering.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Preferred: experience with AWS services and building or deploying AI/ML applications at enterprise production scale.
- Preferred: background as a founder, engineering lead, or startup builder with high ownership and urgency.
- Preferred: experience architecting and delivering complex, multi-component systems in customer production environments.
- Preferred: experience with React, TypeScript, Python, and/or Go.
- Preferred: experience leading customer-facing technical projects or managing external stakeholder relationships.
- Preferred: 3+ years in an Agile, startup, or rapidly scaling environment.
