Base Salary
$176k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and manage scalable, reliable cloud infrastructure across production and development environments.
- Define and enforce cloud deployment best practices that enable safe, confident releases.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Buildkite and GitOps workflows with ArgoCD.
- Own and evolve Infrastructure as Code practices using Terraform, Crossplane, or similar tooling.
- Drive platform improvements that reduce toil and increase developer velocity.
- Explore AI-driven approaches to infrastructure automation, observability, and incident response.
- Partner with engineering teams to design cloud-native systems.
- Mentor engineers on cloud best practices and architectural patterns.
Requirements
- Deep hands-on production experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure at scale.
- Strong proficiency with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform, Crossplane, or similar policy-driven tooling.
- Experience with modern CI/CD tools such as Buildkite or GitHub Actions and GitOps tools such as ArgoCD or Flux.
- Experience designing container-based and Kubernetes-native architectures.
- Curiosity about applying AI and automation to infrastructure problems, including alerting, self-healing systems, or LLM-assisted runbooks.
- Strong communication skills for explaining architectural decisions to engineers and executives.
- Collaborative approach with emphasis on documentation, standards, and shared ownership.
- Familiarity with FinOps and cloud cost optimization is a bonus.
- Platform engineering or developer experience background is a bonus.
- Cloud security exposure, including IAM, SIEM, and scanning, is a bonus.
- Service mesh experience with Istio or Linkerd is a bonus.
