Responsibilities

Develop modern Java software solutions and web applications for digital justice and public administration.
Support the full software lifecycle from conception and development through testing, deployment, and operations.
Contribute to architecture decisions, code reviews, technical quality standards, and technology adoption.
Improve existing applications and identify optimization opportunities.
Translate functional requirements into technical solutions with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and domain experts.

At least five years of professional experience as a Java Software Developer or in a comparable role.
Completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification.
Strong expertise in Java backend technologies including Spring, Hibernate, and Oracle.
Knowledge of modern web technologies, single-page applications, and web services.
Experience designing, developing, and maintaining complex software solutions.
Experience with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or Oracle Cloud and with Docker and Kubernetes.
Knowledge of IT security topics including certificates, encryption, PKI, and electronic signatures.
Strong analytical, structured, and quality-oriented approach, along with good written and spoken German and English.
Public-sector experience is advantageous.

Full-time or part-time work with flexible models of 32–40 hours per week.
