Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the end-to-end architecture of the Signals platform, including microservices, real-time data pipelines, APIs, and front-end integration.
- Design scalable architecture for ingesting, fusing, and presenting video, audio, LiDAR, thermal, and telemetry data from robots and third-party devices.
- Architect the real-time 3D digital twin layer, including sensor fusion, spatial overlays, occlusion handling, positional prediction, and event-linked playback.
- Define integrations with internal tools and external systems including Milestone VMS, Axis Communications, HubSpot, NetSuite, and Palantir FedStart.
- Lead architecture reviews, design sessions, technical decisions, roadmap planning, and build-versus-buy evaluations.
- Mentor engineers on distributed systems, real-time streaming, edge AI, and GovCloud engineering practices.
- Ensure the platform meets FedRAMP High, DoD IL5, and CMMC requirements, including encryption, RBAC, and zero-trust security patterns.
- Collaborate with AWS GovCloud, Palantir, AI/ML, hardware, field operations, product, and customer stakeholders.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 4 years in a systems architecture or principal/staff engineering role.
- Experience architecting large-scale, real-time distributed platforms, ideally in defense, public safety, robotics, IoT, or enterprise security.
- Deep expertise in microservices, event-driven systems, and real-time data streaming such as Kafka or WebRTC.
- Hands-on experience with AWS GovCloud and/or FedRAMP-compliant infrastructure; Palantir Foundry or FedStart experience is preferred.
- Experience integrating video management systems, camera APIs, or physical security systems.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML inference pipelines, edge computing, sensor fusion, RBAC, secure API gateways, and zero-trust security.
- Familiarity with 3D spatial data, digital twin platforms, LiDAR point-cloud processing, or geospatial systems.
- Familiarity with robotics middleware such as ROS2 or Autoware, physical security or PSIM/VMS platforms, autonomous systems, and CMMC or DoD IL5 is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and experience presenting architectural decisions to technical and executive stakeholders.
- Experience leading architecture at a scale-up or growth-stage technology company is preferred.
