Responsibilities

Partner with Sales to position Mapbox’s technical value and shape opportunities.
Lead technical discovery to understand customer goals and ensure solution designs meet business objectives.
Design and present scalable architectures using Mapbox SDKs, APIs, and platform services.
Respond to technical customer requests with clear documentation and solution proposals.
Provide technical guidance during the pre-sales cycle and deliver rapid technical enablement.
Drive customer success by accelerating time-to-value and supporting adoption.
Advocate for customer needs and provide structured feedback to influence product direction.
Stay current on mapping, mobility, and AI technologies and share best practices.

5+ years in solutions architecture, customer-facing engineering, or consulting.
Fluent in Korean and English, both written and verbal.
Must reside in Japan or South Korea.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
Knowledge of web and mobile technologies such as JavaScript, Android, and iOS.
Experience building applications that integrate back-end APIs and front-end SDKs.
Experience with GIS, location intelligence, and mapping is a plus.
Familiarity with major cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus.
Experience with AI technologies is a plus.
Strong business acumen and ability to work autonomously across teams.
Excellent communication skills with technical and executive audiences.
Experience collaborating with OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers.
Understanding of the Automotive industry and its ecosystem technologies.
Willingness to travel up to 25% for customer meetings and events.
