Responsibilities
- Partner with Sales to position Mapbox’s technical value and shape opportunities.
- Lead technical discovery and design architectures using Mapbox SDKs, APIs, and platform services.
- Prepare technical documentation and solution proposals for RFI/RFQ requests.
- Provide pre-sales technical guidance through workshops, demos, and PoC/PoV engagements.
- Drive customer success by accelerating time-to-value, adoption, and expansion.
- Advocate for customer needs and provide feedback influencing product and engineering direction.
- Share mapping, mobility, and AI technology best practices internally and with customers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in solutions architecture, customer-facing engineering, pre-sales or post-sales, or consulting.
- Fluency in Korean and English, both written and verbal.
- Must reside in Japan or South Korea.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of JavaScript, Android, and iOS technologies.
- Experience building applications integrating back-end APIs and front-end SDKs.
- Experience leading technical RFI/RFQ responses and creating comprehensive technical proposals.
- Ability to translate complex requirements into scalable, robust architectures aligned with customer objectives.
- Strong business acumen, autonomy, and communication skills with technical and executive audiences.
- Experience collaborating with OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers.
- Understanding of the automotive industry and technologies including navigation, autonomous driving, ADAS, ISA, and software-defined vehicles.
- Experience with GIS, location intelligence, geospatial data, mapping, major cloud platforms, or AI technologies is a plus.
