Responsibilities
- Embed with Services product and engineering teams to write production-quality code and ship features.
- Provide surge engineering capacity, clear technical bottlenecks, and stand up missing capabilities during critical delivery periods.
- Design and deploy production-grade AI assistants, agents, and multi-agent workflows using modern AI engineering practices.
- Apply AI across the software development lifecycle, including coding, testing, code review, and release.
- Coach engineers on prompt engineering, agent design, and AI-first ways of working through hands-on delivery.
- Document solutions, transfer knowledge, and create reusable AI patterns and reference implementations.
- Partner with architecture, platform, and developer enablement teams to align solutions with enterprise standards and scale them across Services.
Requirements
- Extensive hands-on software engineering experience at a Principal or Senior Principal Engineer level with a record of shipping complex production-grade systems.
- Advanced experience with containerization and orchestration architectures across hyperscale cloud environments.
- Deep current experience building and deploying AI and agentic solutions involving LLMs, agent frameworks, RAG, and orchestration patterns.
- Exceptional technical breadth and the ability to become productive quickly across unfamiliar languages, frameworks, domains, and codebases.
- Strong fluency in modern development practices, cloud-native architecture, automation, testing, and developer tooling.
- Practical experience applying AI across the software development lifecycle and coaching engineering teams in its adoption.
- Working knowledge of responsible AI, governance, and production monitoring for AI systems.
- Ability to work effectively with unfamiliar teams, build trust quickly, deliver under time pressure, and operate amid ambiguity and frequent context-switching.
- Strong communication, influencing, simplification, innovation, and delivery-focused skills.
- Experience with GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Copilot Studio, Azure AI, or an equivalent AI development platform is preferred.
