Responsibilities
- Resolve issues raised by business users and respond to event- or alert-driven production incidents.
- Monitor application performance, analyze production disruptions, report root causes, and recommend preventive measures.
- Analyze technology trends and design opportunities to improve productivity and business operations.
- Maintain procedures, deliverable documentation, and production-support and development processes.
Requirements
- More than six years of experience in mainframe production support or a similar developer role.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in information technology or another demonstrated learning path.
- Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and TSO.
- Understanding of mainframe environments, including batch and online processes.
- Knowledge of SQL and familiarity with the IBM RTC tool are preferred or advantageous.
- Finance, banking, or insurance industry experience is preferred.
- ITIL certification is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, communication, teamwork, and business-collaboration skills.
