Responsibilities

  • Own the testing strategy, risk prioritization, quality standards, and release-readiness criteria across Wonderschool products.
  • Build and maintain UI, API, regression, and smoke-test automation and use SQL to verify data integrity.
  • Use AI tools to generate test cases, maintain automation, explore edge cases, debug issues, and evaluate AI-powered products.
  • Test billing workflows including invoices, payments, refunds, calculations, reconciliation, failed transactions, retries, rounding, and duplicate charges.
  • Lead government user acceptance testing, gather stakeholder requirements, explain issues, and coordinate fixes and acceptance documentation.
  • Translate product and government acceptance criteria into test plans, test cases, and documented results.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to identify risks, prioritize defects, and verify fixes.
  • Track escaped defects, recurring issues, test reliability, and release risks to improve quality processes and coverage.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in QA or quality engineering with ownership from requirements through verified fixes.
  • Strong technical skills in test automation, API testing, SQL, debugging, and modern software development practices.
  • Experience using AI extensively in testing or related technical work and ability to demonstrate its impact.
  • Experience working in Agile teams and participating in Scrum ceremonies.
  • Strong attention to detail, investigation, prioritization, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work with engineers, product teams, and government stakeholders.
  • Experience with government systems, billing or payments, childcare software, or government-facing UAT is especially valuable.
  • Based in San Francisco or willing to relocate, with availability to work in the Rincon Hill office five to six days per week.
