Base Salary
$139k - $204k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and own fraud detection capabilities for Stytch’s fraud platform, focusing on browser and device internals and complex signal collection.
- Partner with product and engineering leadership to set direction, translate customer needs into technical plans, and deliver roadmap features.
- Collaborate across Twilio and Stytch to align architecture, integrate platform capabilities, and unblock cross-team initiatives.
- Author design documents, drive technical decisions, review code, and maintain ownership of shipped systems.
- Improve production quality and resilience through observability, incident response, and remediation.
- Mentor engineers through pairing, feedback, and knowledge-sharing.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience designing, building, and operating production systems.
- Expertise in C or C++; production experience is a plus but not required.
- Familiarity with a production-grade codebase in a modern programming language and high-quality coding practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related industry experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work non-standard hours, including on-call rotation, weekends, and holidays.
- Preferred: familiarity with JavaScript, Go, and WebAssembly.
- Preferred: experience with reverse engineering, browser automation, botting, fraud detection, or fraud defense techniques.
- Preferred: offensive or defensive security software engineering experience.
