Responsibilities
- Lead automotive partners integrating Google Maps and Automotive SDK across Automotive OS platforms, ADAS components, and in-vehicle infotainment.
- Manage automotive partner relationships and drive resolution of bugs, missing functionality, and feature requests.
- Represent automotive partner requirements, constraints, and roadmaps internally to inform product development.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for the Geo Auto Forward Deployed Engineering team.
- Collaborate with Geo Auto, Geo Developer, and Android teams to deliver a complete automotive solution.
- Evaluate map data and geo-service quality, develop external-facing SDKs, and create service-quality visualization tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Five years of experience troubleshooting technical issues for internal or external partners or customers.
- Five years of experience in system design or one programming language such as Java, C++, or Python.
- Fluent Japanese and English communication skills are required.
- Preferred qualifications include a master's degree or PhD, up to 10 years of relevant experience, automotive technical consulting, Maps products and services experience, enterprise stakeholder collaboration, and fluent Chinese communication skills.
