Responsibilities
- Define and implement enterprise quality engineering strategy for Azure-based applications and platforms.
- Lead testing for cloud-native solutions using Azure services including AKS, App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Storage, Service Bus, Key Vault, and Azure Monitor.
- Architect and scale UI, API, integration, and end-to-end test automation frameworks.
- Drive continuous testing within Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
- Establish quality gates, release-readiness criteria, engineering standards, quality KPIs, automation metrics, and release health indicators.
- Lead performance, resiliency, disaster recovery, failover, and security testing initiatives.
- Partner with Product, Development, Architecture, DevOps, and SRE teams to identify and mitigate quality risks.
- Mentor engineers and champion engineering excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in software testing, quality engineering, or SDET roles.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience testing Azure cloud platforms and cloud-native applications.
- Strong expertise in test automation architecture, API and microservices testing, Azure cloud technologies, DevOps and CI/CD, performance and reliability engineering, Agile, and DevSecOps practices.
- Experience leading quality initiatives across large-scale enterprise programs.
- Experience with Azure services, automation and testing tools, programming languages, DevOps platforms, and infrastructure technologies listed in the posting.
- Preferred certifications include Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), Azure Administrator (AZ-104), Azure Developer (AZ-204), Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400), and Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
