Base Salary
$123k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with machine learning, search, product, data, and frontend teams to understand infrastructure needs.
- Architect and build core infrastructure functionalities such as distributed key value stores and event streaming.
- Enhance observability and reliability through distributed logging, tracing, and monitoring.
- Define methodologies and metrics to measure microservices performance and identify bottlenecks.
- Deliver deadline-sensitive work that is interdependent with other engineering teams.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in designing and maintaining backend distributed systems.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Golang, Java, or C++.
- Experience with containers/Docker and cloud infrastructure like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience with open source technologies like Kafka and Elasticsearch.
- Desire to work in a startup environment with a high degree of ownership.
- Experience in performance optimization, scalability, and monitoring.
- Strong motivation and a desire for continuous learning.
- BS+ in computer science or a related field.
