Base Salary
$180k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect agents that automate multi-step workflows.
- Design and deploy MCP servers for external SaaS integrations and internal tools.
- Build the OAuth and credential management layer for secure connector authentication.
- Define and apply standards for production-ready MCP servers.
- Triage incoming connector requests and prioritize engineering tasks.
- Develop Cowork plugins and Claude skills for specific workflows.
- Manage Placer's internal BI environment on Databricks.
- Track usage of internal AI tools to measure adoption and value.
- Optimize platform infrastructure for performance and cost efficiency.
- Implement security best practices for AI platforms.
Requirements
- 8+ years of backend engineering experience.
- Experience with MCP servers, LLM tools, or AI agent frameworks.
- Background in data engineering or analytics tooling.
- Solid understanding of REST APIs, OAuth 2.0, and credential management.
- Experience with Kubernetes or equivalent container infrastructure.
- Familiarity with Databricks or similar data warehousing tools is a plus.
- Ability to work without an existing playbook in a new AI platform environment.
- Strong communication skills for translating business and engineering needs.
- Comfortable managing competing priorities across various teams.
