Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and suites for Walmart pharmacy, wellness, and healthcare platforms.
  • Create and execute end-to-end, integration, regression, and API tests for prescription processing, patient data management, and clinical integrations.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and clinical stakeholders to define acceptance criteria, test strategies, and quality gates.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines with parallel execution, reporting, and quality-gate enforcement.
  • Ensure test coverage and environments comply with HIPAA requirements and appropriately protect sensitive PHI/ePHI through masking and privacy controls.
  • Perform defect analysis, document bugs precisely, and work with engineers to drive timely resolution.
  • Support shift-left quality practices through design reviews, requirement grooming, and early risk identification.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or a related area plus at least 2 years of relevant experience, or 4 years of relevant software quality assurance/testing experience.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on software quality engineering experience focused on test automation is requested in the role description.
  • Proficiency with Java automation frameworks, TestNG or JUnit 5, Selenium WebDriver, and Maven or Gradle.
  • Experience with REST Assured and Postman or Newman for API test automation, including JSON/XML validation, status codes, schemas, and end-to-end workflows.
  • Experience with Cucumber, Gherkin, feature files, step definitions, and data-driven test strategies.
  • Experience integrating tests with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Concord and using Allure or ExtentReports for test reporting.
  • SQL proficiency for test data setup, teardown, and result verification, with PostgreSQL or MySQL experience and basic NoSQL awareness.
  • Understanding of OOP, Git branching, code reviews, defect lifecycle management, and test documentation.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, PHI/ePHI handling, healthcare workflows, and payer integrations is advantageous.
  • A master's degree, quality assurance certification such as CSTE or CSQA, and related retail, supply chain, eCommerce, or healthcare experience are preferred.
