Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, high-performing applications using Java, Spring Boot, and modern full-stack technologies.
- Develop reusable backend services, RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven applications for business-critical banking systems.
- Build responsive and accessible user interfaces using React, Angular, or comparable JavaScript frameworks.
- Translate business and technical requirements into maintainable software solutions.
- Design and optimize data models, SQL queries, and relational or NoSQL database integrations.
- Apply secure coding practices, engineering standards, and design patterns throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, business analysts, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and other stakeholders.
- Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot production issues, improve application performance, and contribute to continuous engineering improvements.
Requirements
- 12–15 years of software development experience with strong hands-on expertise in Java and full-stack application development.
- Advanced knowledge of Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and related enterprise technologies.
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven applications.
- Strong front-end development experience with React, Angular, or a comparable modern JavaScript framework.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript or TypeScript, and responsive web development.
- Experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL, including SQL development and performance tuning.
- Experience with AWS or Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and Git.
- Experience with automated testing practices and frameworks including JUnit, Mockito, integration testing, and test-driven development.
- Strong understanding of secure software development, application performance, observability, and production support.
- Experience working in Agile delivery teams using Scrum or Kanban.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with experience working in a large regulated financial-services environment.
