ML Systems Engineer

Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, and operate scalable, high-performance labeling user experiences and services.
- Develop automation and tooling such as efficiency dashboards, auto-QA, and autolabel review tools to improve ML data workflows.
- Integrate ML-driven data annotation, pre-labeling, autolabeling, and active-learning loops.
- Own technical projects from problem framing through design, implementation, rollout, code reviews, and technical decisions.
- Collaborate with ML, Operations, Product Management, Data Science, and platform teams to deliver workflows, APIs, and UIs meeting quality, cost, and latency goals.
- Use and advocate for AI-powered development workflows while maintaining engineering quality.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience building robust web applications.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field, or relevant work experience.
- Proven experience shipping and operating end-to-end products or features in production.
- Experience using AI tools such as agentic coding, search, and documentation generators.
- Proficiency with TypeScript, React, Redux, GraphQL, WebGL, or similar frontend technologies.
- Understanding of relational databases, data modeling, API design, object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, testing, code review, observability, and CI/CD.
- Experience developing and operating cloud-based applications.
- Experience with A/B testing and telemetry or observability systems.
- Preferred: 4+ years of software experience.
- Preferred: experience with Service Workers, Cache Storage, IndexedDB, computer vision, machine learning, data-centric AI, data-labeling platforms, annotation UIs, workflow engines, or quality systems.
- Preferred: collaboration with customers, product managers, designers, and user experience researchers.
