Responsibilities
- Architect and implement robust, event-driven backend services and APIs using TypeScript and Node.js.
- Design and maintain scalable AWS infrastructure spanning Lambda, ECS/Fargate, DynamoDB, RDS/Aurora, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, and API Gateway.
- Own and optimize deployment pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
- Define architectural patterns and drive DevOps and infrastructure-as-code workflows.
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies and break down complex technical initiatives into estimable user stories.
- Integrate generative AI tools into development workflows for code generation, documentation, debugging, optimization, and initial unit testing.
- Communicate architectural decisions and collaborate with technical peers and product owners.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience focused significantly on cloud-native backend systems and Agile delivery.
- Expert proficiency in TypeScript, modern JavaScript, and the Node.js ecosystem.
- Deep hands-on experience with core AWS services and distributed cloud systems.
- Extensive experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and infrastructure as code using AWS CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
- Experience working within Scrum or Agile delivery models and using Jira or GitHub Projects.
- Practical experience with AI-powered development tools and familiarity with developer-focused prompt engineering concepts.
- Strong ability to conceptualize complex distributed systems and explain component interactions under heavy load.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills across technical and product functions.
