Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, support, enhance, and fix bugs in middle- and back-office applications.
- Interact with functional and technical representatives to understand business functionality, technical modules, integrations, and data sources.
- Prepare test plans and conduct automated unit, integration, regression, performance, and functional testing.
- Contribute to technical design, UML documentation, prototypes, proof-of-concept work, and business-requirement validation.
- Deploy application components, shell scripts, and databases, and prepare technical and release documentation.
- Estimate effort, schedule module work, meet deadlines, conduct code reviews, and follow software development standards.
- Participate in daytime or out-of-hours support and resolve complex technical issues with other teams.
- Contribute to process improvement, delivery-efficiency initiatives, and new technical practices.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Java, its ecosystem, and object-oriented programming.
- Experience developing Java applications with Spring Boot.
- Experience customizing back-office applications.
- Knowledge of the Collections API, control structures, access modifiers, and exception handling.
- Knowledge of Oracle SQL and Unix/Linux systems, including scripting languages.
- Demonstrable experience with DevOps tools.
- Thorough understanding of the complete software development lifecycle.
- Fluency in English.
