Base Salary

$112k - $190k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of production AI systems end-to-end.
  • Contribute hands-on to the codebase and establish high engineering-quality standards.
  • Develop scalable patterns for evaluation, deployment, monitoring, feedback loops, and system reliability.
  • Conduct technical design reviews and guide architectural decisions.
  • Mentor and coach engineers and support hiring, candidate evaluation, and onboarding.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to set priorities and deliver AI-powered solutions.
  • Translate experimentation into stable, production-ready systems.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of experience building production software systems.
  • At least 2 years of production experience with AI/ML or LLM-based solutions.
  • Demonstrated ownership of end-to-end AI systems or features.
  • Experience with LLMs, agent-based systems, or generative AI applications.
  • Familiarity with evaluation frameworks, prompt iteration, model behavior tuning, and AI system failure modes.
  • Experience operationalizing AI workflows in real-world environments.
  • Ability to work across data pipelines, model serving, and application layers.
  • Experience as a technical lead or senior engineer and a proven ability to mentor engineers.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field; an advanced AI, machine learning, or distributed-systems degree is preferred.
  • Equivalent work experience may substitute for the stated degree and experience requirements.
  • Strong communication, technical documentation, stakeholder engagement, technical judgment, and alignment-building skills.
