Responsibilities
- Develop full stack applications using Java and Angular or React.
- Build responsive UI components and integrate them with backend services and APIs.
- Design REST APIs, service integrations, data models, and application architecture for MDM workflows.
- Deliver features end to end, including development, testing, and deployment.
- Lead debugging, root-cause analysis, code reviews, and performance, scalability, and reliability improvements.
- Use and evaluate AI tools for coding, debugging, testing, documentation, and productivity.
- Write unit and integration tests and champion test-driven development practices.
- Mentor junior engineers, collaborate with Product, UX, QA, and Platform teams, and influence technical direction.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint planning while evaluating new frontend, backend, AI, and agentic workflow technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 4 years of software development experience, including 4+ years with the required technical skills.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React or Angular, Java, and object-oriented design principles.
- Deep understanding of web application architecture, APIs, system design trade-offs at scale, concurrent programming, and distributed systems.
- Experience leading system design and architecture decisions and designing REST APIs and microservices architectures.
- Proven experience with test-driven development, unit testing patterns, mocking strategies, and test quality gates.
- Hands-on experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and influencing technical direction, with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Hands-on experience using Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, or comparable AI tools and evaluating AI-generated code for correctness and performance.
- Preferred qualifications include database knowledge, familiarity with data platforms, MDM concepts, data integration pipelines, defensive programming, Python or AI/ML concepts, and CI/CD or DevOps practices.
