Base Salary

$120k - $261k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Translate user and business requirements into secure, scalable, accessible full-stack solutions.
  • Design, develop, test, operate, optimize, debug, and refactor web applications using C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, REST APIs, and frontend technologies.
  • Implement secure integrations using REST APIs, OpenAPI, OAuth 2.0, Microsoft Entra ID, managed identities, role-based access control, and API management patterns.
  • Build AI-powered applications, agents, tools, and integrations with grounding, orchestration, evaluation, monitoring, and responsible AI controls.
  • Partner across engineering, product, and business teams on architecture, dependencies, APIs, platform capabilities, and technical design documents.
  • Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, release planning, testing, deployment, telemetry, and production readiness activities.
  • Support live-site operations, investigate service degradation, communicate status, and help restore service for complex issues.
  • Share reusable code, prompts, agent tools, evaluation assets, and engineering practices while mentoring other engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, a master’s degree and 6+ years, or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of experience applying software engineering fundamentals, including object-oriented design, data structures, design patterns, automated testing, code reviews, source control, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
  • Experience designing, developing, testing, and operating full-stack web applications or distributed software systems.
  • 4+ years developing backend services and APIs with C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, or comparable technologies.
  • 2+ years building responsive and accessible web experiences with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, Blazor, Angular, Vue.js, or comparable frameworks.
  • 2+ years designing and integrating REST APIs, including contracts, versioning, authentication, authorization, telemetry, and resiliency.
  • 1+ year implementing secure authentication and authorization with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, Microsoft Entra ID, managed identities, or comparable platforms.
  • 6+ months using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or comparable tools.
  • Experience with agent development concepts including tool calling, prompt and context engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, structured outputs, conversation state, multi-agent orchestration, evaluation, tracing, observability, and safety controls.
  • 2+ years with enterprise data platforms and integration technologies such as Microsoft Fabric, Dataverse, and Power Platform.
  • Familiarity with project scheduling, Oracle Primavera P6, work-breakdown structures, milestone management, and schedule analytics.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly, collaborate across organizational boundaries, manage dependencies, mentor engineers, and contribute reusable assets.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.

Benefits

  • The typical U.S. base pay range is USD $119,800–$234,700 per year, with a separate San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area range of USD $160,200–$261,000 per year.
  • Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
  • The position is open for at least five days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until filled.
