Base Salary

$136k - $245k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, and deploy AI-enabled legal workflows for contract review, due diligence, drafting, research, and summarization.
  • Partner with attorneys and knowledge management professionals to identify use cases, map workflows, and translate practice needs into structured AI solutions.
  • Develop and maintain retrieval pipelines, document templates, reusable workflow components, documentation, prompts, retrieval sources, and guardrails.
  • Build evaluation frameworks and monitor workflow quality, accuracy, reliability, adoption, usage, and impact metrics.
  • Deliver training sessions, workshops, one-to-one coaching, playbooks, and enablement materials for attorneys and other legal audiences.
  • Develop standards, use-case libraries, and governance practices incorporating human review, verification, confidentiality, auditability, and professional responsibility controls.
  • Collaborate with AI Product, AI Adoption, Knowledge & Innovation, IT, Innovation Practice Group, and Professional Development teams.
  • Maintain production workflows and update them in response to model or platform changes, user feedback, and evolving practice needs.

Requirements

  • JD or equivalent legal background, such as practicing attorney, knowledge lawyer, or paralegal with substantive practice experience.
  • 3–6+ years of experience in legal, legal technology, knowledge management, practice innovation, or a comparable professional-services environment.
  • Demonstrated experience designing or implementing AI, automation, or workflow solutions in a legal or professional-services setting.
  • Experience delivering training, enablement, or onboarding programs to attorney or client-facing audiences.
  • Ability to design AI-enabled workflows involving prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation concepts, and evaluation of model outputs.
  • Working understanding of legal practice and attorney workflows, including judgment about where AI is appropriate.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with attorneys, partners, and senior stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of legal AI vendors such as Harvey, Legora, and Microsoft Copilot, and familiarity with modern AI workflow builders.
  • Preferred experience at an AmLaw firm, in-house legal department, or legal technology company.
  • Preferred hands-on experience with workflow builders, prompt libraries, retrieval-augmented generation pipelines, AI evaluation methods, AI governance frameworks, and emerging AI regulation.
  • Light coding fluency in Python, SQL, or scripting is preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or Microsoft 365.
