Responsibilities
- Deliver technology operations for assigned systems and services while meeting performance, availability, reliability, and security targets.
- Design, implement, and govern technical solutions, operational standards, runbooks, governance patterns, and process improvements.
- Lead components of moderately complex initiatives, including planning, solution design, implementation, and coordination of lower-level technical professionals.
- Evaluate and implement automation, emerging technologies, and optimization techniques to improve efficiency, reliability, and supportability.
- Provide technical guidance and informal coaching through design reviews, code reviews, troubleshooting, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
- Translate technical and business requirements into implementation plans and recommendations.
- Collaborate with vendors, partners, and adjacent teams on integrations, solution designs, and operational expectations.
- Monitor and analyze operational metrics, logs, and observability data to identify issues and drive remediation and continuous improvement.
- Perform incident response, troubleshooting, root-cause investigation, restoration, and long-term corrective actions for significant incidents.
- Contribute to incident management, disaster recovery, and business continuity procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in technology operations.
- Advanced understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, security, compliance, and risk management.
- Proven experience with technology governance, strategic planning, and operational excellence.
- Strong expertise in GitLab CI/CD, repository management, and integrating code quality, security, and testing tools into pipelines.
- Proficiency in automation scripting such as Ansible, Shell, or Python, plus experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container security tools.
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Experience with large-scale enterprise DevSecOps transformations and relevant AWS, Kubernetes, DevSecOps, or security certifications.
- Preferred: advanced certifications such as CISSP, CCIE, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or equivalent.
- Preferred: experience with multi-cloud environments, automation frameworks, AWS server provisioning, firewalls, software installation and configuration, and user setup.
- Preferred: experience with GitLab repositories and pipelines, GitLab Duo, Terraform, web servers, application containers, caching technologies, relational database design, SQL, stored procedures, and data modeling.
- Preferred: knowledge of SonarQube, Veracode, CloudWatch, Splunk, Dynatrace, automated build and deployment pipelines, secure coding, cybersecurity practices, and vulnerability remediation.
