Base Salary
$144k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead code and design reviews and establish development standards within the team.
- Design, code, debug, test, deploy, and maintain scalable web applications and reusable software components.
- Own multiple product features end-to-end and contribute to strategic product decisions.
- Develop and maintain APIs using an API-first approach focused on integration, scalability, extensibility, security, and performance.
- Optimize application and system performance, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and improve legacy applications.
- Build and deploy applications in cloud-native environments using Kubernetes.
- Set up and maintain environment configurations, monitor system health, and support production systems.
- Respond to on-call incidents, troubleshoot critical disruptions, and minimize downtime.
- Design, optimize, and maintain SQL and NoSQL data structures and caching strategies.
- Enhance development tools, test coverage, code structure, and UI automation testing.
- Collaborate with developers, designers, system administrators, engineering, product teams, customers, and vendors.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide training and technical support to internal teams.
- Lead adoption of AI-driven engineering practices, code modernization, specification-driven development, and agentic workflows.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of related software development experience, or 6 years with an advanced degree.
- Strong programming skills in an object-oriented language such as Java or C# and proven full-stack development experience.
- Strong experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React and Angular, plus HTML and CSS.
- Experience with the full software development lifecycle, cloud-native application development, production monitoring, and support.
- Advanced experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, caching mechanisms, system performance optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Deep understanding of REST API best practices and experience building scalable, secure, and high-performing APIs.
- Experience developing application tests, including unit, UI automation, and integration tests.
- Experience building and deploying applications using Kubernetes and experience with OpenTelemetry.
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation and collaborate effectively in an agile framework.
- Strong analytical, time-management, written communication, verbal communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Preferred: master’s degree in engineering, technology, or a related field.
- Preferred: experience with SaaS products in the technology or financial industries, Amazon Web Services, Kubernetes, and cross-platform mobile development frameworks such as Flutter.
