Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and deploy ML systems for retrieval, summarization, classification, and agentic reasoning.
  • Architect scalable RAG and LLM-based systems integrating structured data, documents, and knowledge graphs.
  • Build and maintain agentic orchestration frameworks for LLM-based agents.
  • Own data collection, cleaning, feature engineering, labeling, training, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and post-deployment iteration.
  • Fine-tune and evaluate LLMs and other models for production reliability, latency, and cost.
  • Establish lightweight MLOps practices covering model CI/CD, reproducibility, and experiment tracking.
  • Balance third-party APIs such as OpenAI and Anthropic with custom-built or fine-tuned solutions.
  • Influence architecture decisions and define ML best practices across the team.
  • Collaborate with data engineering, product, scientists, researchers, and domain experts.
  • Communicate technical findings and tradeoffs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or above in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 5 years of professional applied machine learning experience.
  • Strong foundations in machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing.
  • Production experience deploying LLM-powered applications using frameworks such as PyTorch, vLLM, or LangGraph.
  • Hands-on experience with RAG, agentic orchestration, or multi-agent systems is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Python and tools for ML development, large-scale data pipelines, and standard evaluation protocols.
  • Experience owning production systems end to end, including monitoring and post-deployment iteration.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for working with technical and non-technical collaborators.
  • Startup experience is a plus.
  • Publications at NeurIPS, ICML, ACL, or EMNLP are a bonus.
