Responsibilities
- Own and continuously improve Flo’s AWS security posture using services including GuardDuty, Inspector, Security Hub, and SSM Patch Manager.
- Harden container images and secure the software supply chain through automated vulnerability patching, image signing and verification, and admission policies.
- Manage CI/CD security with policy-as-code tools and enforce security standards programmatically.
- Build security observability by measuring and visualizing actionable metrics.
- Support infrastructure for privacy features and help shape Flo’s broader security culture through documentation and cross-team collaboration.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in infrastructure security, cloud security, or security engineering roles.
- Deep expertise in AWS security services and best practices.
- Proficiency with Terraform and Terragrunt for infrastructure as code.
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes security, image hardening, and admission control.
- Understanding of identity management principles including SSO, OAuth, JWT, and SAML.
- Ability to automate security workflows using Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
- Understanding of modern network security principles and experience integrating Secure Software Development Lifecycle phases into engineering workflows.
- Preferred qualifications include security monitoring or event correlation experience, Zero Trust Architecture knowledge, secret management familiarity, multi-cloud experience with AWS and GCP, business continuity knowledge, and certifications such as AWS Security Specialty, CKS, or CISSP.
