Responsibilities
- Design and deliver scalable backend services and supporting frontend experiences, including low-level system design, API design, and data modeling.
- Write maintainable, high-quality production code across backend and frontend components with automated testing, observability, and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with product, design, and partner engineering teams to translate customer and business requirements into technical solutions and service integrations.
- Own the full lifecycle of services and features, including development, testing, deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident resolution.
- Use data, metrics, experimentation, and analytics to improve system performance, reliability, and user experience.
- Integrate and operate AI/ML-enabled solutions and apply AI/ML concepts to real-world products.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent related professional experience.
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Demonstrated ownership of services, components, or features across design, implementation, quality, deployment, and operational support.
- Strong proficiency in data structures, algorithms, system design, API design, and data modeling with hands-on production experience.
- Hands-on experience with modern backend and frontend technologies, service architectures, and AI-driven tools or workflows.
- Preferred experience with multi-service or full-stack architectures, structured APIs, data models, frontend integrations, and service-to-service integration patterns.
- Preferred experience improving high-traffic or customer-facing systems through performance tuning, resilience hardening, reliability engineering, and optimization.
- Preferred operational experience with instrumentation, logging, metrics, observability, alerting, on-call participation, and incident response.
- Preferred experience with experimentation, feature flags, A/B testing, analytics, and service metrics.
- Preferred experience integrating AI/ML capabilities across backend and frontend experiences and guiding safe use of AI tooling.
