Base Salary
$164k - $183k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end delivery of client-facing functionality from scoping through production rollout.
- Set technical direction through architecture guidance, delivery enablement, and engineering quality improvements.
- Build hands-on services in Java on GCP and PCF.
- Define team-level AI-assisted engineering practices using GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, agentic workflows, and spec-driven development.
- Mentor engineers and collaborate with product, architecture, vendors, offshore teams, and internal stakeholders.
- Drive projects and proof-of-concepts to completion while influencing technical and business decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience with Java, Spring, cloud technologies, and web services in high-volume, highly available environments.
- 4–6 years of experience with distributed or NoSQL databases, with PostgreSQL preferred and experience with MongoDB or Yugabyte.
- 4+ years of experience with real-time data and streaming.
- 4+ years of experience with continuous build tools including Bamboo and Bitbucket/Git.
- 3+ years of experience with GCP and/or AWS/Azure.
- 3+ years of experience with event-driven systems including Kafka, RabbitMQ, or message queues.
- 2+ years of experience with cloud deployment in a CI/CD model.
- 1+ year of experience with batch or data pipelines using Spring Batch or PySpark.
- Hands-on experience with GitHub Copilot and/or Claude Code in IDE or CLI workflows.
- Working knowledge of agentic and spec-driven development, custom instructions, and prompt engineering for team practices.
- Experience using AI for code, tests, reviews, and automation while maintaining ownership of correctness.
- Experience with Atlassian tools, vendors, offshore teams, internal stakeholders, technical specifications, architecture, production and test environments, and technology evaluations.
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, influencing, conflict-resolution, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
