Base Salary
$153k - $234k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define comprehensive test plans from requirements, trace test cases, establish pass/fail criteria, and refine requirements based on test outcomes.
- Develop and execute test plans across HiL, dyno, and vehicle validation layers.
- Define tooling needs for efficient test execution and result evaluation.
- Collaborate with system, firmware, and hardware engineers to validate implementations against product requirements.
- Investigate firmware issues through data analysis, log analysis, and issue reproduction.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or Systems Engineering.
- At least 4 years of experience developing or testing embedded software.
- Experience with test automation using Python or other scripting languages.
- Experience writing code with source control using Git.
- Hands-on experience debugging complex systems involving networked microprocessors and software-controlled electrical or electromechanical devices.
- Experience parsing and analyzing log data or source code and identifying root causes.
- Preferred experience with drive units, power steering, actuators, braking systems, powertrains, and their interactions.
- Preferred experience with Python testing frameworks such as Robot and pytest.
- Preferred experience with continuous integration and deployment systems and tools such as JIRA, TestRail, Polarion, JAMA, Doors, and XRAY.
- Preferred experience in systems validation or integration and in developing test plans from FMEA or vehicle safety concept analysis.
