Base Salary
$209k - $253k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define the technical strategy and roadmap for streaming infrastructure.
- Lead architectural design for high-throughput streaming systems.
- Drive solutions for reliability and scalability challenges.
- Partner with SREs and product engineering for data integration.
- Establish engineering best practices for streaming systems.
- Lead post-incident reviews and contribute to systemic improvements.
- Represent the observability platform in cross-functional forums.
- Mentor senior engineers through design reviews and collaboration.
Requirements
- Deep experience in architecting and operating distributed streaming platforms.
- Track record of driving impactful technical decisions.
- Hands-on expertise with Kafka or similar technologies.
- Proficiency in backend languages such as Java, Scala, Go, or Python.
- Strong instincts for reliability engineering.
- Ability to lead complex projects across multiple teams.
- Experience influencing engineering culture and standards.
- Strong communication skills for advocating long-term investments.
