Responsibilities
- Lead technical architecture and hands-on delivery of scalable, production-ready AI solutions within embedded business engineering teams.
- Design, build, and deploy end-to-end agentic workflows using Python, ADK, LangGraph, and Arc.
- Integrate AI agents with core banking systems, enterprise APIs, databases, microservices, and custom Model Context Protocol servers.
- Design secure and resilient agent execution environments using controls including mTLS, OAuth2 token delegation, HashiCorp Vault, and OpenShift container security.
- Lead architecture reviews, code reviews, security assessments, technical mentoring, and resolution of complex engineering challenges.
- Develop reusable architectures, components, and engineering blueprints for Citi’s enterprise AI platform.
- Ensure solutions meet security, regulatory, governance, risk-management, reliability, and software-quality requirements.
Requirements
- Extensive software engineering experience with strong backend and distributed-systems expertise.
- Proven experience building and deploying production-grade LLM and agentic AI applications.
- Expert-level Python skills, including asyncio, state machines, and complex application workflow design.
- Strong experience with distributed microservices, containerization, and orchestration technologies including Docker and OpenShift.
- Experience integrating enterprise APIs, relational and NoSQL databases, and event-streaming platforms such as Kafka.
- Practical knowledge of agentic AI architectures, multi-step reasoning, tool orchestration, and production LLM application development.
- Deep understanding of application security, zero-trust principles, authentication, authorization, and secure tool-execution environments.
- Experience leading technical design, influencing technical direction, mentoring engineers, and collaborating with senior technology and business stakeholders.
