Responsibilities
- Work closely with software engineers to build and maintain software applications.
- Learn and participate in the software creation process from design and development through testing and deployment.
- Create scripts to automate parts of the software development process.
- Learn debugging methodologies and investigate the root causes of software issues.
- Contribute to technical or functional documents and reports as needed.
Requirements
- Be currently enrolled in a Canada-based university bachelor’s degree program majoring in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Knowledge or experience with software engineering concepts, principles, and theories is encouraged.
- Relevant skills may include C/C++, Python, Windows PowerShell, Linux shell scripting, Perl, Java, JavaScript, UML, UNIX/Linux, databases, Azure, web development frameworks, HTML/XML/XSL, defect tracking, testing, debugging, Git, GitHub, Perforce, OAuth, SSL/TLS, PC or CPU architecture, embedded systems, and microcontrollers.
