Responsibilities
- Become a hands-on expert in the Brightspace platform and D2L products and services.
- Support sales opportunities through technical consultation, product expertise, and deployment guidance.
- Prepare and deliver tailored product demonstrations and persuasive presentations to varied audiences.
- Conduct prospect needs-analysis sessions covering infrastructure, requirements, and potential customizations.
- Write proposals by reviewing requirements, identifying the optimal product mix, addressing gaps, and assessing competitive alignment.
- Create technical documentation and materials for prospects.
- Coordinate engagement with internal subject-matter experts during sales opportunities.
- Provide product management with feedback on customer use cases and field trends.
- Coach colleagues and share technical best practices.
- Attend sales meetings, presentations, and conferences with required travel.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in a related role; pre-sales consulting experience is advantageous.
- Strong familiarity with technology and learning management systems, with Brightspace experience considered a bonus.
- Understanding of the technology ecosystem surrounding an LMS and the responsibilities of LMS administrators and users.
- Strong presentation, writing, comprehension, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to varied audiences and work confidently in an expert capacity.
- Experience working with remote teams and communicating through instant messaging, online forums, and email.
- Ability to manage multiple objectives with minimal supervision in an entrepreneurial environment.
- Fluency in both English and Spanish, written and verbal, is essential.
- Willingness to handle flexible hours, last-minute travel demands, and travel of approximately 30% or more.
