Responsibilities
- Become a hands-on expert in the Brightspace platform and validate solutions in practice.
- Support the sales process through expertise in D2L products and services, including functionality, usage, architecture, and deployment.
- Prepare and deliver persuasive, tailored product demonstrations and presentations for diverse audiences.
- Conduct prospect needs-analysis sessions covering infrastructure, requirements, and potential customizations.
- Provide product management with feedback on field use cases and trends.
- Create technical documentation and materials for prospects.
- Coordinate internal subject-matter experts for sales opportunities.
- Write proposals by reviewing requirements, identifying the optimal product mix, addressing gaps, assessing competitive alignment, and producing clear responses.
- Coach and mentor colleagues while sharing best practices.
- Attend sales meetings, presentations, and conferences and work flexibly across North American time zones.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in a related role; pre-sales consulting experience is an advantage.
- Familiarity with learning management systems is required, with Brightspace experience considered a bonus.
- Understanding of the technology ecosystem surrounding an LMS and the responsibilities of teams operating those systems.
- Strong technology aptitude and confidence presenting as an expert to varied audiences.
- Excellent presentation, writing, comprehension, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with remote teams and communicating through instant messaging, online forums, and email.
- Experience meeting multiple objectives in an entrepreneurial environment with minimal supervision.
- Fluency in English and Spanish, including excellent written and verbal communication, is essential.
- Willingness and ability to travel, with the posting citing 25–50% travel and also stating 30%+ travel.
- Interest in education, corporate learning, and educational technology.
