Responsibilities
- Develop, support, test, and maintain simulation software tools.
- Identify limitations in existing software components and improve simulation methodologies.
- Develop and maintain a library of direct and iterative linear solvers and preconditioners.
- Develop and maintain parallel software using threading, MPI, and CUDA.
- Apply numerical methods and linear solvers to process and device simulation involving partial differential equations.
- Communicate complex ideas and testing results orally and in writing.
- Work independently, solve problems proactively, and provide accurate technical documentation.
- Collaborate with the TCAD engineering team and manage tasks and priorities effectively.
Requirements
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
- 4–7 years of experience developing linear solvers and parallel programming.
- Strong proficiency in C++ or an equivalent object-oriented programming language.
- Extensive experience in software design and team-based software development.
- Experience developing direct linear solvers, iterative linear solvers, and preconditioners.
- Experience with numerical methods and techniques for solving partial differential equations.
- Experience with CPU parallel programming using POSIX threads, STL threads, OpenMP, or MPI.
- Experience with GPU parallel programming using CUDA.
- Good presentation, communication, and technical writing skills are desired.
