Responsibilities
- Develop the next generation of Five9’s cloud SaaS platform for its AI-enabled contact center application.
- Build highly available, highly scalable, and reliable microservices.
- Apply cloud computing, software technologies, and open-source tools to solve platform challenges.
- Gain deep application-level knowledge and contribute to the design of existing and new systems.
- Troubleshoot across the software stack and provide production support as needed.
- Develop, test, deploy, and manage production applications on Google Cloud Platform as part of a continuous delivery team.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software development experience on a Java development team using Spring Framework.
- Experience designing and building highly available and scalable applications.
- Understanding of private and public cloud design considerations, virtualization, global infrastructure, distributed systems, load balancing, networking, event processing, large-scale data storage, and security.
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field.
- Preferred: 3+ years of cloud platform experience and experience with Spring Cloud.
- Preferred: hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform products including Google BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, App Engine, and Cloud SQL.
- Preferred: hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Preferred: advanced degree in an engineering or business discipline.
