Base Salary
$170k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement scalable, fault-tolerant software solutions for transmitting millions of messages monthly across diverse formats and protocols.
- Design and evolve architectures supporting complex clearinghouse-specific EDI and API data mappings.
- Implement error handling, logging, and retry mechanisms in asynchronous workflows to ensure data integrity and reliability.
- Collaborate with external clearinghouse partners to debug and troubleshoot non-standard integration systems.
- Ensure compliance with EDI protocols and federal healthcare standards, including HIPAA security and privacy requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate technologies and frameworks and document application features, flows, and processes.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience developing robust software solutions, preferably in healthcare.
- Strong skills in building and integrating APIs and scaling API systems cost-effectively.
- Proficiency in PHP, Python, or a comparable programming language, with willingness to learn additional languages.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new programming languages and manage technology transitions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with 837, 277, 999, and 835 EDI transactions is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of or experience with healthcare data interchange standards such as HL7 and FHIR is strongly preferred.
