Responsibilities
- Partner with strategic startup customers to build novel applications on the OpenAI API and move them from ideation to production.
- Provide technical guidance and prototype applications alongside customers to maximize business impact.
- Identify customer opportunities with Sales and align technical work with business goals.
- Contribute to open-source resources, documentation, best practices, and knowledge sharing.
- Synthesize customer feedback and deliver insights to Product and Research teams.
- Build relationships across the startup ecosystem and support multiple concurrent projects.
Requirements
- Mandarin fluency is required for working with Mandarin-speaking customers and vendors.
- At least 5 years of experience as a software engineer, ML engineer, or equivalent is required.
- Proficiency in Python and JavaScript and a strong understanding of AI/LLM best practices are required.
- Experience building or delivering prototypes on the OpenAI API is required.
- Ability to identify opportunities to maximize customer business value through the OpenAI API.
- Startup experience is preferred, and founder or founding engineer experience is highly valued.
- Ability to own problems end-to-end, learn independently, prioritize effectively, and manage concurrent projects.
