Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Agile teams to deliver features from concept to production.
- Build and maintain scalable, cloud-native services on AWS.
- Write clean, well-tested code in TypeScript, Python, or Java.
- Participate in technical discussions, design reviews, planning sessions, code reviews, testing, and production support.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues across the stack with support from senior engineers.
- Apply engineering practices involving testing, observability, version control, and deployment workflows.
- Take ownership of well-scoped tasks and deliver them with increasing independence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience such as bootcamp training or a portfolio.
- Up to two years of software engineering experience, with internships and academic projects counting toward experience.
- Foundational knowledge of TypeScript, Python, or Java and basic understanding of RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with Git, branching, pull requests, code review, and collaborative development workflows.
- Exposure to AWS cloud services, including conceptual knowledge of Lambda, S3, and DynamoDB.
- Experience writing unit and integration tests.
- Preferred qualifications include AWS service experience, serverless architecture, AWS CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform, Docker, ECS, Dynatrace, CloudWatch, Datadog, open-source contributions, personal projects, GitHub Copilot, and AWS certifications.
